Ok, we get it, the Korean market has gotten so saturated with girl groups there has to be some who go off and make something of themselves a la TOHOSHINKI…not that worked out completely well in the end… (*goes off to corner to sulk*).
Hopefully 4minute and KARA’s management teams have learned from SM.
I made no secret of my dislike for their 2nd mini-album Hit Your Heart, but I did praise I My Me Mine. And now looks like the girls have taken the advice and gone and promoted that song instead. I love the choreo and I love the fierceness of it, I can’t wait to see the full video.
Here’s their awesome performance on M! Countdown, my favorite because ALL of the girls shined in this one. Especially leader Jihyun, I was surprised at her little solo part @ 1:24, in a good way of course, work it leader!

And as penance comes my long overdue review of 4minute’s latest endeavor into the K-Pop world!
In the words of Hyuna: Let’s get let’s get let’s get started!
Gosh, I really like how badass the video is!! 4minute is back in the running, because the more I watch the video the more I like the song (damn conditioning)! And I like a song or two from their mini-album.
And can I say that I am proud of the leader, Jihyun, for not being completely overshadowed in the MV by the powerhouses that are Jiyoon and Hyuna, as she usually is. I also loved her solo shot the most with that regal gold dress, she looked gorgeous.
Major props to maknae Sohyun for growing up and her little solo dance in the video was the shiznicks. She did a good, especially with that split! Damn girl!! Aww little Sohyun is growing up *tear tear*.
Ok anyway more on the MV, I love the choreo and I can’t wait to see it performed live!!
I’m not gonna say anything on Jiyoon, Hyuna, or Gayoon. I mean what is there to say that hasn’t already been said? Those girls shine like stars =D I’m really happy about it too because Gayoon is really stepping into her own.
I have to admit, I’m a bigger 4minute fan than I am a Wonder Girls fan. I think the Wonder Girls are catchy but ultimately kinda boring music-wise. I think 4minute’s music is catchier and way more fun and high energy.
So here comes the showdown!
So I’ve been away from the world of K-Pop for TOO LONG in my opinion (a week is a LONG TIME for me). And in that time I feel like a year has passed in K-Pop time I swear! It’s like in those movies with alternate universes, where you feel you’ve been gone for years but you’ve only been gone for a like a millisecond in reality!
Hyuna (4minute) and Joon (MBLAQ) have something in common besides being the sexy ones in their respective groups. Apparently Hyuna’s been outed by her own band mates for being the reason their dorm smells ‘sourish’ because she doesn’t shower after coming back from work while Joon is known for being the member who showers the least in MBLAQ.
I love how Hyuna just has to bring him down with her but he seems to like having another idol on his side in the idol vs. shower battle!
Am I the only one so fascinated by the fact that there is music coming from a completely different year?? As in when I label year for music on ITunes I have to put 2010 now…
Just me…yeah, I though so. LOL, anywho, I’ve been having quite a good time catching up with all my fave artists and I’d just like to share what has caught my attention and what makes me wanna cringe.
