Everything Koda Kumi used to put out became my most played in like weeks, these past two years that’s changed, and even though Lollipop isn’t a quality song, it’s catchy and fun and so ero-kakkoii (sexy cool).
Avoid Inside Fishbowl and Outside Fishbowl at all costs though!
So if you’ve read my blog before, I have a monthly section where I review the top 10 songs I’ve been listening to lately. I did one for February and now here’s my list for March. So in no particular order here we go.
February I’m taking it a lot easier than January. The first thing on my to-do list for the blog is to review BoA’s new album, IDENTITY, after giving it a thorough listening which I haven’t done yet, but in the meantime I just wanted to share some song that are currently repeating themselves on my IPod.
FOREVER LOVE by Shota Shimizu x Kato Miliyah: I can’t believe I haven’t heard it before! I really like it, their voices mesh so well together and I like it more than their previous collaboration LOVE FOREVER. I’m not a fan of either singer truthfully, I’ve heard of them but I’ve never really followed them. I’m thinking of following Kato Miliyah more closely, her voice is gorgeous!
No Way by Koda Kumi: One of the only good album tracks off of her new album! It’s a totally new sound that she should spend time exploring.
Best Friend by Kana Nishino: It’s totally grown on me from the first time I’ve listened to it and the falsetto in the song is just LOVE, is that a whistle register I hear at the end?? I’m in love with this girl’s voice, she’s totally restoring my faith in J-Pop that Ayu and Kuu just keep beating to death.
もっと… (Motto…) by Kana Nishino: Totally addictive song, it’s the start of her new era, after she released her first album, I don’t really like her beginning era, but I like this new one, A LOT! Truthfully, I’ve been listening to her last two singles a lot but I don’t want to inundate this list with all her songs from her new era.Watch the video before it gets taken down! You know how the Japanese are about their videos being posted on youtube *grumble*.
THE D-MOTION by KAT-TUN: Ugh I got sucked into this song so bad, but I don’t like the other A-side, so I guess I’m still safe. Why must Kame sound so good in the chorus??
별별별 (☆★☆) by SNSD: Beautiful song, beautiful vocals, my 2nd favorite song from them after Genie!
웃어 줄 수가 없어서 미안하다/I’m Sorry I Can’t Laugh For You by 2AM: Honestly, listen to their entire mini-album, this happens to be my favorite song of their mini-album for the moment but it fluctuates when I come across their mini-album on my IPod.
GLORIA by YUI: It’s YUI, she pwns all. The b-side Muffler is incredibly enjoyable as well.
Hanbunko by Stereopony: Love these girls <33 and I’m totally feeling the song.
Love Revolution by CNBLUE: Yep, this is definitely my 2nd favorite song after their title song. Also helps that they composed and wrote the song themselves and saves themselves from any plagiarism issues with this one!
Fierceness…
Truthfully, I’m a huge Koda Kumi fan. I love her musical style and I love her, (she’s the reason I’m into J-Pop & K-Pop! Read ABOUT section for more details.) but I also know how to be completely and utterly objective when it comes to her music. So if at times I may sound way harsh, I’m only doing it because I know of what she’s capable of and I’ve been quite disappointed with her past musical endeavors, except for certain few.

The PV is out and I’m having mixed feelings about the song in general, but the video is cute without verging on the edge of obnoxiousness.
I’m going to do a full review of the album when it comes out so I’ll just wait until I have the full album listened to before I give my opinions, though I must say while I’m not crazy about SUPERSTAR, it’s ok.

You know what that means…HOLIDAY BALLADS or just songs lol!! Via J-Pop & K-pop ❤ Well some of them aren’t really Holiday inspired but they fit the theme and there’s snow therefore I deem it a holiday song!
White Light by Namie Amuro
Not the best song from Namie or the best holiday song but it’s enjoyable every once in a while and she looks fabulous in the video, gosh I want her stylists!
White X-Mas by KAT-TUN
Yummy Kame’s really looking good at 3:50, Jin & Kame really are vocal powerhouses in KAT-TUN which is the only reason I like this song, it shows off the vocals they don’t usually get to show off. Taguchi was 1:50, I like him with short hair, A LOT!

Of course Kuu isn’t cold in that tiny little jacket while out in the snow!! Gosh come on stylists make it at least a little bit believable, though kudos for the beautiful wardrobe. This song is simply her best ballad and I just love the climaxes through it, a must listen! It’s the song that made her HUGE.
Winter Bell by Koda Kumi
A b-side on her stay with me single from last December. It’s very pretty and poppy. It’s comes up on my shuffle sometimes and makes me wanna skip and sing in a winter wonderland, then I remind myself I’m in a Florida, where the sun is shining on Christmas Eve.
Koe wo Kikasete by BIGBANG
Their best Japanese song yet!! So pretty and everyone’s part was so perfect!!A must listen, I love Korean boy bands so much talent, and TOP. I LOVE YOU. Though you could use a haircut and his rap was digitalized, whatev, he’s fierce.

Jingle Jingle Bell by 4minute
I like it for like 2 plays, then my head almost exploded from so much autotune when I tried to listen to it again lol. It’s good from time to time and it’s so cute and catchy, but someone please take away 4minute’s autotune, they’re using and abusing!!
I was also going to use Days by Ayumi Hamasaki but youtube has been stripped of Days by avex, boo!!
